Why Do White Women Feel Entitled To Question Black Strangers?

My mother who is so toxic and abusive physically and emotionally that I’ve had to cut off, I ventured to visit her a year ago. She lives in a predominately white massive, apartment complex ,I was questioned as to why I was there and who I was visiting.
I was with my daughter and I’m almost 50 years old and I found myself answering this older, white woman seated in the lobby.
I’ve been struggling with life in the worst ways lately, well for a few years actually. Being alone has humbled me to my core, so when I went on a walk to retrieve the mail from my post office box I was at peace.
On my way out I held the door for an approaching woman, she was thankful. I moved forward to make sure I wasn’t blocking the door to take the above photo of the American flag.
A minute or two passes, I wasn’t timing it but the same White woman I had opened the door for was suddenly on my back. She asks me what I was doing, who I was waiting for and why I was…
