a·bu·sivem /əˈbyo͞osiv,əˈbyo͞oziv/ adjective: abusive1. extremely offensive and insulting. 2. engaging in or characterized by habitual violence and cruelty.
3. involving injustice or illegality. “the abusive and predatory practices of businesses”

Many people refuse to take personal responsibility for their behavior, it has become common place to play the ‘blame game’, this where a person points to someone else as to show why they behaved the way they behaved or ‘reacted’! That is exactly it, reactions! Folks are always saying well, “she/he did this so that is why I…. reacted the way I did”! In some countries this has become a legal defense for others as we have seen with the Kyle Rittenhouse case, instead of being at home in his state as he should have been.

At 17 years of age Rittenhouse was illegally carrying a ‘big ass’ gun patrolling in a state that was not his own breaking the law, he got away with it too. He literally got away with not only breaking the law he got away with murdering and injuring people. The world has become a place filled with people that play the blame game everyday all day long. I have even been the victim of verbal abuse, being told that “you make me call you these names because you push me to do so”!

These words came from the mouth of a father, who always says he was raised by to be very respectful, decent & honorable, yet when he was faced with me telling him how he was caught telling lies he started with the verbal abuse. Not that I verbally abused him or called him any names, he also liked to tell me how he didn’t hit me even though many of his fellow Ghanian men hit their women, yes.

He didn’t seem to understand how that was threatening, I tried to explain that but I just decided to move away from him because this abuse was not going away.

People that refuse to take personal responsibility for their behavior often times don’t change unless they wake up to the damage that they are…
